Trentino Genealogy, Culture, and Heritage

My introduction to Trentino began with stories told to me as a child about a valley in northern Italy (that was once part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire) surrounded by mountains, castles, and lakes. These stories fueled a desire to learn more about the area -- its people, its culture, its history. A natural progression was to undertake the task of tracing my ancestral ties to Trentino and learning a little of family history.

Within this site you will find information and links to help you in learning more about your family history and your heritage - from information about ancestral villages to information about actual people who made the voyages to what they hoped would be a land of opportunity.

This site will be migrating to a blog format.  Some of the content has already been placed at the new location, and more will be added every few days.  This will take a bit of time and involve some effort.  Please bear with me -- I think that the new site and format will provide enhancements, with easier updating.  In the interim, both this site and the new format will be maintained.
