Grandparents Alliprando Rossi and Rosa Bertoldi born in and around Revo.Their parents were Fabiano Rossi & Margarita Frank - Nicolo Bertoldi & Caterina Cozzin. Alliprando came to America 3 times-1890, 1899, 1901. Rosa came in 1914, married Alliprando in NYC. Anyone with Info on the following names please contact me. From what I know, they came through Ellis Island, then went to Canada, and finally settled in Northern Utah where they established a successful dairy farm. Arturo was a merchant in Segundo until 1946, when they moved to Trinidad and he started a cement block factory with son, Joe Menapace. They had four children, Rose, Frances, Joe (deceased) and Alice. I am their oldest daughter. My niece, Caryl Simpson, has researched our ancestors on both the Menapace and Mistrelli lines back to 1502 so far. I know nothing of the Moscon or Mosconi family. I know my grandfather had a sister Maria who came to the US and married a Zadra and a Bertoldi He also had a brother Lino of whom I know nothing other than he emigrated to the US and lived in Alaska with the family about 1917 or so. My grandmother had a brother Stephano who lived in Hazelton PA and a sister Eugenia who married Fred Guis I would really like to know where I can find anything else about the families. My great grandfather was Anton Zambiasi and he was married to Carolyn Yost. He spoke some type of a German dialect. The only city names that my dad (deceased) remembered was Trento and Riva del Garda. Anton came to Owosso, Michigan where he became the owner of several coal mines. How or why he came there, I have no idea. We look forward to returning some day and trying to find out more about our ancestry. My wife Shirley is a Pinamonti. Her grandparents are Morelli and Pilati. If anyone can fill us in on anything to do with our ancestry, please write us. He was a coal miner in Tamaqua, PA. He originally settled in Minersville, PA. He was responsible for recruiting and bringing many Tyrolean families to the area. His name was Enrico Amadeo Paternoster, born in 1907 in Cagno.He just recently passed away at the age of 97. His father's name was John Paternoster and he emigrated to the US around the turn of the century and settled in Freeland, Pa.. Supposedly he also went to Colorado for a while then back to Cagno. I am doing some research on Tyrolean families that settled in PA. I’m looking for a particular Tyrolean family that moved to Milwaukee, WI. Unfortunately I don’t have names. I believe the father died there but three of the children moved to Milwaukee between 1950 and 1954. Here’s what I have so far • Father was 24 years old when he first came to the US from Trentino area • Father worked in the PA coal mines for 7 years and then returned home to marry his wife and bring her back. He served in the Austrian army. He came to the US in 1881 and worked the coal mines in Coal City and/or Braidwood,Ill. We have not been able to find naturalization records for him. It is possible he wasn't here long enough to get that. Does anyone know if when folks left there that they had to have paper work? They had a child born in Switzerland in 1881. She died the same year after they arrived here. Any help would be appreciated!
