I am the grandaughter of Luigia
Dolzani Dalpiaz
(Flavon)and Camillo
Dalpiaz (Terres) who came to America in the early 1900's. They raised me
with the Nonese language and with daily talks of their hometowns. I have a
great pride in my heritage and I have tried to pass that on to my
children and grandchildren.

I visited this website several times in the past few years and was
always amazed at all the information I was able to gather. I'm
looking for ancestors of Valentino and Rachele (Zambiasi) Defant from
Taio. In particular my
cousins and I are trying to locate information concerning our
grandparent's oldest brother, Enrico (or Henrique) Defant. He was the only
sibling who never came over to America when the rest of the family did.

Because of this site I've been able to contact a few people who have
helped me with my family search. My Grandfather was from the area of Val
De Sol, specifically Ortise/Mezzana. The family names are BRESADOLA,
MELCHIORI and GOSETTI. A few with the name Bresadola came to the U.S. in
the early 1900's. We believe there
is some family connection to most of them. We believe that grandfather
came to Gile, Wisconsin to stay with a cousin named Cornelius Bresadola
when he first arrived in America. Then he moved to Mt. Carmel,
Pennsylvania.
