My grandfather Amadio Ravina was born in Revo. He was the son of Tomaso and Caterina Albertini. He married Maria Alberini from Revo. He went to theUSA in 1922 and settled in Kulpmont,Penn. He also went by the name of Stanley Albertini. I would like to know why he did this. I assume he probably had a new wife and chidren. The family names are BRESADOLA, MELCHIORI and GOSETTI. We believe that grandfather came to Gile, Wisconsin to stay with a cousin named Cornelius Bresadola when he first arrived in America. Then he moved to Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania. My grandmother's parents came from Vigolo Vattaro, south of Trento.The names are MORATELLI and HAMMERJACK. My grandmother Liduina iimmigrated to this country in 1904 and married my grandfather, Pio Bacca in 1906. He immigrated to the United States and settled in Norway, Michigan and worked in the Iron Mines until they closed. From the Ellis Island web site I believe that Vittorio traveled to Minersville, PA with Ottlia Rizzardi and her children. His sponsor was to visit a Mario Rizzardi, also in Minersville, PA. Ottilia Rizzardi was to stay with her mother Emilia Rizzardi who was married to Cesare Rizzardi. Cesare and Emilia Rizzardi I believe came to America with 9 children. Please let me know if anyone knows of this. Also my grandmother Pierina Carlini came from Coredo. Her mother Pia Malfatti Carlini brought her to America in early 1900 to stay with Albino Carlini her husband. They settled in Bridgeport, Ohio. My grandfather worked the Penn. coal mines in the 1800's, lived in Hazelton PA, and then moved back to Revo. He then moved back to the usa in the 1950's. In Dermulo there are (or there were) the following surnames: Inama (Enama), Emer, Mendini, Eccher, Massenza, Tamè, Endrizzi. He came to the USA in 1889 and was working as a stonecutter in Fayetteville, WV. I have not been able to find out any information on him. He and my grandmother died when they were young and their children were put in an orphanage in Pittsburgh. The orphanage did not keep much information on the family. I would love to find some long lost relatives who may know of him. Emmanuele settled in Hazleton, PA in 1895 at age 28. He married a widowed Austrian named Mariane Canton and had several children - including: Albert (my grandfather), Mary, Ida, Mildred, Emmanuele ("Ike"). Emmanuele (Sr.) owned a bar in Hazleton and later worked in the coal mines. I would appreciate contact from anyone who either knows of Emmanuele's origins or could advise me on how I could find out. I believe he immigrated to America in 1902 on his brother, Anselmo's papers. He first went to PA, then to Iron Mountain, MI. Met my grandmother, Eugenie Franzoi, born in 1888 in Paris France. (My great grandparents were from Sporminore but my great grandpa went to Paris to find work). They had 15 children. My father was Paride Formolo. When my grandpa left Sporminore, he never saw his parents again. My grandma's parents were Carlo Franzoi and Maria Remondini.
